Dr Taylor worked as an inpatient therapist at St Luke Institute in Silver Spring, MD, USA from 1992 to 1997 as well as acting as a clinical supervisor to Masters and Doctoral level clinical interns from Loyola College, Baltimore. In addition to her Doctor of Philosophy (1996) from Loyola College Dr Taylor holds a Bachelor of Theology and a Bachelor of Education (Special Education). She was the Director of the McAuley Community Education Centre in Melbourne, Victoria, from 1985 to 1991, supervising staff in special education and advocating for the provision of care for challenged individuals. Dr Taylor has presented a variety of papers at international conferences and since 1997 has been involved in leading over 30 workshops per year on a range of topics related to psychological health. As well as leading and supervising the clinical staff, Dr Taylor plays an active role in the therapeutic and educational work of Encompass.
